That moment is why we created Mixmuse.

 A Love for Drinks That Started Young

Before Mixmuse was a business, it was a habit — a love, really.

I was that high school girl behind the counter of a milk tea shop in New York, experimenting with flavor combos in the back room. Then came dessert shops. Cocktail bars. Watching people’s faces light up after their first sip. Learning, over and over, that mixing a drink was really about mixing memory and joy.

Even before we had a name for it, mixology was always part of the story.

We’re Amy and Jimmy — co-founders of Mixmuse, partners in business and in life. After graduating from Columbia University, we moved to California and started full-time careers — I’m a product marketing manager, and Jimmy is a Robotics engineer.

But on weekends? We started something else entirely.

We built a brand around something we both love: making people feel joy through taste.

At Mixmuse, every drink begins with intention.
We believe a truly unforgettable drink is seasonal, sensory, and personal.

Each year, we travel to tea houses across China, tasting leaf after leaf until we find the ones that move us.
We don’t buy in bulk. We choose our ingredients like a perfumer chooses notes — slowly, precisely, with love.

Then we pair them with flavors from around the world:

  • Premium tea leaves from artisan tea houses in China
     

  • Yellow guava from Mexico
     

  • Tangerine honey from Jeju Island
     

  • Yuzu honey from Japan
     

  • Cocktail finishing sprays from Tuscany
     

  • Organic milk — light and smooth
     

  • Real juices — never from syrup
     

  • Toppings like toasted pecans, pistachios, and edible flowers

A New Kind of Mixology

We’re redefining what a boba bar, fruit tea cart, or cocktail booth can be.

We’re not here to cut corners or mass-produce.
We’re here to serve drinks that matter — drinks that feel luxurious, personal, and completely unforgettable.

That’s why:

  • Our fruit teas are cold-brewed, low in caffeine — so guests can try more than one
     

  • We use organic milk and real juice — no syrups, no shortcuts
     

  • New drinks every year, inspired by our travels — we keep the best-sellers and add new stories
     

  • We only book one event per day — so we can give you our full heart and hands

Our Favorite Moments

Mixmuse has been part of so many celebrations —
From backyard elopements to 250-guest weddings, parties to corporate events,
from happy tears to spontaneous dance floors.

We’ve poured drinks for childhood friends reunited,
for couples catching golden hour glances,
for brides tearing up at the sight of their mom’s favorite flower on our bar.

But our favorite moment is always the same:
That pause after the first sip —
and then:

“This is amazing.”

The Discovery of Tea Mixology

Mixmuse truly came alive in Malaysia.

I stumbled upon a small tea shop experimenting with something I’d never seen before: the idea of tea mixology. It wasn’t milk tea as I knew it. It was thoughtful. Layered. Each drink was built like a dish in a fine dining restaurant — crafted, not poured.

And it clicked.

Why should milk tea always mean “milk + sugar + tapioca”?
Why not something elegant, expressive, surprising — like wine, like art?

That’s when the idea took root:
We wouldn’t start with recipes.
We’d start with the tea.

More Than Just Drinks — A Decorated Experience

Mixmuse isn’t just about flavor — it’s about feeling.

At every event, we arrive early. We set up with care — hand-selected decor pieces from China, Jeju, Kyoto, South France, Mexico, Bali — even handmade elements tied by me. Our serving cups are boutique-sized, custom-designed, and refined through trial and error for that perfect sip.

Guests notice the setup before the first pour.
They smile after the first sip.
And they almost always come back for a second drink.

“What is this? I’ve never had anything like it.”

That’s Mixmuse.

Mixmuse Today

We serve the Bay Area (and LA coming in 2026), offering on-site mixology for:

  • Milk tea
     

  • Fruit tea
     

  • Cocktails
     

  • Boutique-style service with globally inspired decor
     

We mainly operate May through October, but if your event falls outside those months, reach out early — we’ll try our best to be there.

We’re nearly fully booked for the 2025 wedding season, because we only take one event per day — and plan every one like it’s our own.
